As we end this week and get ready to begin our weekend and the week ahead, I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting our Eighth Grade Fundraiser. It was a success and will help our eighth graders with all of the activities that will be happening this their last year at HSA! Thanks to our eighth graders for the delicious donuts!!
This coming week is relatively quiet so we can devote our time and energy to our most important goal of learning.
Our Thanksgiving Food Drive continues until November 23. Thank you to all who have already donated! All of the donations will be distributed to needy families on November 24 after our Thanksgiving Prayer Service.
Mr. Emma will be holding a Christmas tree ornament contest for grades 4-8. Please see the linked flyer.
Our 10th Anniversary Calendar Raffle is ongoing with raffle tickets being sold until the end of December so that all entries will be ready for the first drawing on January 7. Five tickets were sent home to each family; if you do not wish to purchase any or all of your tickets, please return the entire raffle ticket/tickets to us as soon as possible. We have had many requests for tickets and we also plan on selling tickets outside of school during upcoming weekly Masses in the Deanery Parishes.
Scrip Gift Card orders are due on Tuesday, November 16. Gift cards make great Christmas gifts for all those hard to buy for persons on your list. An order form is linked for your convenience.
The “Giving Tree” will begin on Monday, November 22. Please see the linked flyer, explaining this event along with permission for your child to take a tag from the tree to purchase a gift for a person in need. What a wonderful way for us to share the joy of Christmas!
We are planning a “Craft Fair” on December 15. During the day, our children will purchase items from the vendors as gifts for their families. After school, the event will be open to adults and the public. We are in need of vendors so a form is attached for anyone that is interested.
Save the date! Friday, December 17th is our Christmas Pageant at the church at 7pm. Children will come dressed up in their Sunday best. More information will follow.
Have a great weekend and a fantastic week!
God bless you and your family,
Mrs. Woodburn
