Friday Fun Facts – Dec 3rd

It is truly beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Holy Savior Academy. Each day brings more of the Christmas magic that we all experience during this wonderful season.

As we enter the second week of Advent, we continue our preparation for the coming of Jesus. The children in grades 3 through 8 will have the opportunity to have their Advent Confession on Monday with Father Pervaiz Indrias or Father Lou Messina at 9:00AM in Church.

Since Monday is the Feast of Saint Nicholas, he will be visiting our little ones in grades PreK through grade 3 and leaving them sweet treats. The children will be putting one of their shoes in the hallway and magically they will be filled after St. Nick’s visit!

On Tuesday, BNL will be here to do picture retakes and original pictures for those students that were absent on Picture Day. If you wish to have your child’s picture retaken, you must send in the packet with the unwanted pictures.

On Wednesday, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The children in grades K through 8 will be attending the 9:00AM Parish Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart.

On Thursday, our sixth, seventh and eighth graders will be visiting St. Thomas Aquinas High School for their Christmas Music Concert. St. Thomas has invited our students and is supplying the buses. We are so thankful to the principal, Mr. Ziegler, for inviting us and providing the bus.

Also on Thursday, all Scrip orders are due. Don’t forget to order your gift cards. They are such a wonderful Christmas gift idea!

On Friday, our Giving Tree ends. Thank you to all those that took a tag from the tree and purchased gift items.  You are definitely making someone’s Christmas merrier.

Also on Friday, at 5:00PM we will be gathering outside of the school to light our beautiful Christmas tree. Hopefully, all can join us as we sing, have hot chocolate and cookies, and light our tree.

Boiler Update:  The part that we needed came in and the crew is working on repairing our boiler. Please continue to pray that once it is repaired that it runs smoothly, and we have heat.

God is so good to us and always answers our prayers!!

We continue to pray, too, that God will bless each and every one of you, especially during this Christmas season.

Please remember to send in all unsold raffle tickets by tomorrow. We need them returned so we do not have to purchase more.
