It is hard to believe that it is already April! Today officially begins our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser! Today we start moving and counting our fit minutes! Remember one of our school goals is 100,000 minutes!
Don’t forget to join us this evening for the “Kick Off” at our Bike Night from 4:30PM until 6:30PM. There will be plenty of activities, music, cookies, goodies, and more! A great way to start counting our fit minutes.
On Saturday, come to Spring Lake Park for a Family Run/Walk at 8:15AM.
On Wednesday, April 6, we will be having our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Walk-a-thon! The entire school will walk from 9:00AM until 10:00AM and receive credit for 60 fit minutes as we walk, skip, hop, run, and dance to the music of DJ Elms! Hopefully, we will all have our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat T-Shirts to wear for the event! Don’t forget to wear sneakers and sweatpants!
On Thursday, our teachers will honor their challenge of Crazy Hair/Wig Day since $10,000 was raised. Also on Thursday, we will all Dress Down in white shirts and jeans for an arial picture of “HSA” which will be taken for the yearbook.
On Friday morning, we will have our morning prayers at 8:00AM and parents are invited to join us. We will pray as a community, salute our flag, sing our song, and then draw this week’s winner of the Calendar Raffle. Immediately after, the students who have received honors for the Third Marking Period will be announced.
At 1:00PM, we will gather in the Church of the Sacred Heart for the Living Stations of the Cross. Our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders will reenact the passion of our Lord as seen through the eyes of Mary, Jesus’ mother. Parents are welcome to join us for this beautiful recreation which will prepare us for Holy Week.
I pray that God will continue to bless us and keep us in His loving care.
