The Spring Musical, Seussical, the Musical, was spectacular and all of our students performed so well! What a great night for everyone especially our own, Ms. Susan Loughlin and her helpers, Mrs. Eva Tripodi and Ms. Alyssa Rakossy. Congratulations to all for such a great performance.
On Friday evening, June 3, there will be a picnic to celebrate our Athletics Program. We celebrate our student athletes that played basketball and ran track. We especially celebrate and thank our coaches who guided our children in their playing and running.
This coming week is the eighth graders last week before their Graduation on Friday, June 10th. On Monday evening, there will be special dinner in their honor at the school. On Tuesday, they will join all of the other students in grades 3 through 8 at the South Plainfield Pool for a day of fun. On Wednesday, they will have their special Yearbook Signing with students throughout the school joining them in signing their special book. On Thursday, they have the day off as a special gift from me, their principal. On Friday, the day begins with the Baccalaureate Mass at 10:15AM. They will be the main participants and Father Lou Mattina and Father John Alvarado will be the main celebrants. They will be joined by their families and all within the Holy Savior Academy school community. At 7:00PM, the Graduation Ceremony begins with our Eighth Graders graduating from Holy Savior Academy. We congratulate each of them and wish them well as they leave us. They have been a spectacular group and we are all so proud of them.
On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, the children in grades 6 and 7 will be taking their exams. On Tuesday, the children in grades 3 through 8 will be going to South Plainfield Pool for a day of fun. A special thank you to South Plainfield for inviting our students to have this fun day! A letter and permission slip has gone home detailing all that the students need for the day. This permission should be signed and returned by parents. If any child does not have a permission slip, they cannot attend.
On Tuesday while grades 3 through 8 are at the pool, the children in grades PreK, K, 1 and 2 will be having a Dress Down Day and a special free picnic lunch of Hot Dog, Chips, Drink and a Dessert Treat. Fun activities will be planned for them after lunch.
On Wednesday, Ms. Riley Robbins is our Principal For the Day! She has decided that we will have a Red, White, and Blue Dress Down Day! She will be leading us in Prayer as we begin our day and then she will be reading to the children in the Primary grades, Pre K and K. Wednesday is the last of school for our Eighth Graders so Ms. Robbins will be organizing a schedule for Yearbook Signing so that each class gets to have their books signed and they get to say “Good-bye” to the eighth graders. In the afternoon after lunch at 1:00PM. We will have a special three game Candy Buddy Bingo! Ms. Robbins will call the three games; a Red Game, a White Game, and a Blue Game with the winners getting candy prizes. After the Bingo Games, Ms. Robbins will be giving all of the children a special Red, White, and Blue ice treat!
On Friday, our eighth graders graduate! All are invited to the Baccalaureate Mass at 10:15AM. We have a noon dismissal on Friday; Aftercare will be provided. Please remember to bring lunch if staying in Aftercare. The Graduation Ceremony begins at 7:00PM; all are invited to attend.
On Saturday, June 11, we will have our Rise Up and Run Super Soaker Party! It will be on the Front Lawn from 10:30AM until 12:30PM. Bring your water guns and join in the fun!
