Sunday, January 30, marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week! Holy Savior Academy along with Catholic Schools across the country begin our week-long celebration of our school’s commitment to our Faith, Excellence in Academics, and Service to others.
We will celebrate Mass at 11:30AM at the Church of the Sacred Heart immediately followed by our Open House at the school until 2:30PM. Students should wear their school uniforms to church. Light refreshments will be served and student’s work will be on display. All are welcome and bring a friend!
On Monday, we celebrate our community. We will begin our Service Project, Baby Drive, collecting items to donate to moms in need. It is also a Dress Down/Crazy Hair/Crazy Sock Day! Students will also be writing letters and cards to the Veterans at Menlo Park and the Senior Citizens of South Plainfield. Students will also be creating a school-wide Prayer Chain for each child’s special intentions.
On Tuesday, we celebrate our students so students will have a Pajama Dress Down Day! In the afternoon, students will be with their “Buddies” for a movie treat. Popcorn and a drink will be provided.
On Wednesday, we celebrate our families. The children will create Good Deed Certificates that they will present to their families. In the afternoon, students will be with their “Buddies” for Candy Bar Bingo.
On Thursday, we celebrate Vocations. Students will have a Favorite Team Jersey Dress Down Day! Father Pervaiz will be meeting with the children in grades 3, 4, and 5 to talk about vocations to the Religious life. The children in grades 7 and 8 will be doing a special lesson with the children in grades PreK through Grade 7.
On Friday, we celebrate our Faculty and Staff. We will attend the 9:00AM Mass and our fifth graders will be the main participants; children will sit with their “Buddies” in church. There will be a noon dismissal and Aftercare will be provided. The Faculty and Staff will receive various treats throughout the morning and then have a special Appreciation Luncheon from Boss Hog!
Remember that re-registration is currently underway and we are accepting new registrations for the 2022-2023 School Year. Remember, too, that if you bring family and friends and they register, both of you will receive a discount on next year’s tuition.
